SABA Water-Based Adhesives

For several years, Windsor Trading has been the exclusive Australia and New Zealand agent of SABA, a global leader in the production and supply of adhesives and sealants. While SABA supplies a wide range of adhesives and sealants to its customers around the world, the company is perhaps best known as a pioneer in the development of environmentally-friendly water-based adhesives.

Since taking over the Australia/New Zealand agency, Windsor Trading has successfully introduced the SABA range of water-based adhesive products to many of its furniture, bedding and foam conversion customers. For the majority of customers, we offer two alternative two-part SABA delivery systems:

• IBC, with glue and activator coming in ~1,100 kg IBCs – for larger users, or;
• Plug n Spray, with glue and activator coming in patented kegs – for small to intermediate users.

Additionally, SABA has also recently patented a “Zero Overspray” delivery system. With this technology, which we have successfully introduced to several customers throughout Australia, customers enjoy a cleaner and safer working environment through the elimination of overspray.

As the market has continued to shift away from harsher solvents and hot melt adhesive technology, both SABA systems have been widely accepted throughout the Australia and New Zealand markets. As well as being environmentally friendly, SABA adhesives offer a range of complementary benefits, including:

• No electricity costs as the system runs entirely on air;
• Improved occupational health and safety (OH&S) as sprayers are not at risk of burning themselves or breathing in harmful chemicals;
• Low maintenance of equipment, and;
• Portability – the smaller Plug n Spray system comes on a trolley that can be moved around a factory as long as an air connection is available
